Ms. Flanzig has been an active litigator in New York for the past 30 years representing the rights of seriously injured New Yorkers. Her results have repeatedly been reported in the New York Law Journal as the top "Top 25 Verdicts and Settlements", in the State. She has been named as a " New York's Super Lawyer" an honor limited to only 5% of attorneys in the New York Metropolitan area. She has been included in the list of "The Top Woman Attorneys in the New York Metropolitan Area" as seen in the New York Times Magazine.
In addition to representing the rights of victims of car crashes, pedestrian accidents, truck accidents, and crashes, bicycle accidents and crashes, as well as other personal injury claims. This includes construction accidents and injuries caused by negligently and defectively maintained premises. Her work has included such high profile matters as the Avandia Class Action litigation, the well known Dow Corning Breast Implant Litigation, and the infamous 1993 World Trade Center Bombing Litigation. She also headed the plaintiff's steering committee involving the notorious Colin Ferguson shooting aboard the Long Island Railroad.
In addition to practicing general negligence, Cathy concentrates on insurance coverage issues, including Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist claims and No-Fault Coverage.
Her experience, skill, and dedication to the safe streets movement and to seeking justice for her clients are shown by the extraordinary results she has obtained. As a result, Ms. Flanzig has been granted membership in both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a group limited to attorneys who have obtained verdicts and settlements in the millions of dollars.
She has dedicated her pro-bono efforts in helping to obtain compensation for the victims of the Sept. 11th terrorist attack and donates her time with the Huntington Interfaith Homeless Initiative.
