Flanzig & Flanzig Was One of the 1st Firms to Return to In-Person Trials in NY county

Courtroom during a trial

Flanzig & Flanzig was one of the first firms to return to in-person trials in NY county following the re-opening of the Courts during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this “dooring” crash case, months ago our firm had obtained Summary Judgment on behalf of our client with the Court, even before trial, finding the Defendant 100% at fault for the crash.

The Court left open for the Jury only two questions:

  1. Whether the cyclist had any role in causing the crash? (was there any comparative negligence)
  2. and the nature and extent of our client's injuries and the monetary damages he would be entitled to.

The case settled for close to the full policy limits after jury selection began.

Thank you, Imran Ansari, trial counsel to the firm, for getting this done.
