Biography:
Daniel Flanzig is the firms lead trial attorney litigating cases in Nassau, Suffolk and the five boroughs of New York City. He represented clients on a regular basis in Federal Court at the Eastern and Southern Districts of the United States. One of Mr. Flanzig’s most recent results was a $1.3 million dollar verdict in Kings County for the death of a 76 year old woman who was killed in a car accident. He has been awarded an Martindale Hubbel AV rating by his peers, the highest rating and attorney can obtain. Mr. Flanzig had been granted membership in the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates forum for attorneys who have obtained trial verdicts in excess of One Million Dollars. He has been repeatedly quoted in the New York Post, The New York Law Journal, and The New York Lawyer and has appeared on News 12 Long Island in relation to high profile cases the firm has handled. He has authored numerous articles on the protection and rights of firefighters in New York State. He is a former member of the East Brunswick Rescue Squad and Rutgers University First Aid Squad as well as an active member and contributor to the New York State Fire Chiefs Association. He served as a Civilian Intern in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Coast Guard, Group New York and as a legal intern with the Regional Counsel’s Office fore the United States Custom Service. This hands-on experience has given him exceptional insight into the risks and challenges faced by uniformed officers.

Biography:
Ms. Flanzig has been an active litigator in New York for the past seventeen years. She heads up the firm’s Mass Tort and Class Action practice including the Dow Corning Breast Implant Litigation and the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing Litigation. She also headed the plaintiff’s steering committee involving the notorious 1993 Colin Ferguson shooting aboard the Long Island Railroad.
Her practice includes many issues that are uniquely significant to women, including failure to diagnose breast cancer as well as the failure to provide adequate security or protection that results in sexual assaults or attacks on women. In addition to practicing general negligence, Cathy has concentrated in insurance coverage issues, including Uninsured Motorist and No-Fault Coverage disputes.
She heads the firm's Appellate Practice and has successfully argued cases in the Appellate Division of the State. Ms. Flanzig has recently been appointed as an official Court Mediator in the Supreme Court, Nassau County to serve on a Panel of attorneys chosen to mediate significant personal injury cases.

Sheldon Flanzig, Esq. 1929 - 2005
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Sheldon Flanzig attended the prestigious William & Mary College in Virginia and received a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. After graduation, he served in the Navy and received a degree from the Naval School of Justice. Mr. Flanzig was honorably discharged with the rank of Full Lieutenant.
After representing clients in personal injury matters at smaller firms, in 1954 Sheldon Flanzig founded the law firm of Joachim and Flanzig, located at 323 Willis Avenue in Mineola, New York. Over the course of the next five decades, Mr. Flanzig was a prominent litigator throughout the entire New York-metro area. He was frequently quoted as an expert source in the New York and National Law Journals, Newsday and many other regional publications. The firm reorganized in Spring 2001 and Flanzig and Flanzig was founded. The firm continues to maintain its main office at 323 Willis Avenue in Mineola, New York.
His decades of experience are of great value to his daughter and son as they continue a family tradition of excellence in representing individuals who have sustained significant personal injuries.
